I do enjoy a thunderstorm and tonight was a feast of them, complete with Tornado Watches and Tornado Warnings. And Reneé, having been through two tornadoes up close and personal (including one that destroyed her trailer on the day it was insured) so she doesn't like them.

But I went out on the patio and looked up into the heavens and watched the lightning splay across the sky. It was interesting. I have seen cloud-to-cloud lightning before but tonight it was a a continuous spread of jagged spikes of plasma and the thunder rolled around from all points of the compass. And the lightning was a many fingered beast reaching out to other clouds, with several instances where it appeared that the lightning joined from several clouds to a central point and out to others.

I was proud of Reneé, as she stood out with me for awhile, since she doesn't like storms much. And we agreed that it looked at times like the lightning was spreading out over the clouds like blood vessels over a god's bloodshot eyes.

But now the storms have passed and so life shall settle down for the night.

Peace, gentle readers

FYI... Bonus points for identifying the title without looking it up ;)
