No, I haven't exactly just flown in from Cleveland but I have finished day two of the Hundred Pushups challenge, by which I should be able to do 100 consecutive pushups in another 5 and a half weeks time.
Week 1, Day 2 consists of sets of 9, 8, 6, 5 and 7 for a total of 35 pushups. And, amazingly, I actually got them done.
Though I have to admit I have been more aware of my arms and wrists the last couple of days. Not painful but minor twinges. I also have to admit that my pushup is not in as good a form as those that Jack Palance did. Quite honestly, I have too much gut to press nose to floor, so I count it when the belly hits and then back up as one. It's not that much different but that's the whole goal of the exercise program, helping to take care of this.
My first goal is 100 pushups, even if they aren't perfect, and then work on improving form while I work on other exercises.
Peace, gentle readers
