Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Vice Presidential candidate for the Republican Party, is a strong woman of faith. She has re-energized the radical Christian wing of the Republican party.  And I wonder what will happen if she and McCain lose.

And I'm reminded of the story of Gideon and the Midianites from the book of Judges, Chapter 7. He started out with 32,000 men and the Lord said to Gideon:

You have too many men for me to deliver Midian into their hands. In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own strength has saved her, announce now to the people.
Judges 7:2-3

And that was still too many so God continued to winnow until Gideon was left with but three hundred men. And they took on the Midianites and won. Because God was on their side.

So, if Palin, hand picked choice of Doctor Dobson and the third wave millenialists, fails to win, what will that tell her? My guess is it will simply confirm to her the corruptness of America and strengthen her resolve to divide the country further.

I worry about the country that birthed Lincoln Republicans that have become the party of Palin.
