Tears Minimize

<smiles gently>

Tears, cleansing, stinging, warm, salty, wet... They flow for many reasons from sorrow to joy and every shade and hue of emotion in-between. And they remind us we are human.

Crying is a uniquely human trait. Other animals vocalize their sorrow or anger with dismal yowls or horrifying screams of rage, but to have tears run down from our eyes is human. Whether it is just the welling of a tear in our eyes like the briefest drop of water that splashes down from the sky or rivulets of memories leaking from our eyes, misting them over so we can see more clearly with our mind's eye.

We are human. We cry. No matter how hot or cold something makes us feel, we still have the capability to loose our tears and, with them, find some freedom; freedom from pain or freedom to embrace. And the tears can warm our cold or cool our heat for they are like magic potion that we make within.

Sometimes we cry because we know others cannot.

Sometimes I have wept until I have had no tears left to fall and then knelt, my body wracked with sobs of grief.

And sometimes I have wept profuse tears of joy until I felt that I could enfold the world within my silent joy.

<smiles gently and wipes away a tear, from your eye, my eye, someone else's, does it matter which?>
